Culinary Arts
Tulare Adult offers a culinary arts program to prepare students for a career in food services. Our course is made up of five certificate classes including:
- Basic Cooking Principles
- Sanitation, Safety, and Knife Skills
- Food Prep and Presentation
- Baking and Pastry
- Garde Manger (Pantry Chef)

Fees
Due to the hands-on nature of our program, we consume a lot of materials and supplies; thus a four-tier payment plan is available to help students cover the $1,450 fee.
IET Culinary Basics
This semester-long course offers students practical experience within a commercial kitchen environment. Under Chef Riggs’ guidance, participants will study recipes, learn safety procedures, and prepare meals. Held at our K Street campus, the class convenes every Tuesday between 12:45 and 4:30 p.m. Fee: $150
