Nursing Assistants help patients during their stay at a medical facility by providing basic services such as feeding, toileting, clean-up, and vital recordings. They often work, under the supervision of a registered nurse, with patients in long-term care facilities. Our NA course includes both classroom instruction and clinical experience.

To be considered for this program, potential students must attend orientation and complete a drug screening and placement assessment. Please call the main office to inquire about the next available orientation date.

Medical Assisting

Our Clinical & Administrative Medical Assisting course prepares students for all aspects of front and back office medical assisting and extensive training in EKG procedures. Medical assistants perform routine administrative and clinical tasks in medical offices and clinics, including filing, medical forms, patient correspondence, appointment scheduling, and bookkeeping. Our program also prepares students for specimen collections and diagnostic procedures like EKGs and audiograms. After successfully completing our program, students will be eligible for several certifications.

We are currently updating the enrollment process for the Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy programs. Please check back next week for updated information.

Phlebotomy Certificate

A phlebotomist obtains blood samples for laboratory testing using venipuncture and capillary puncture. In addition to phlebotomy, the coursework includes all educational components required by the state of California for entry-level and experienced phlebotomists.
