Welding

Tulare Adult School Combination Welding Program prepares students with entry-level welding skills used in the manufacturing, food-processing agriculture, maintenance, and construction industries.

Students will receive training in safe shop practices and the safe use of hand and power tools used in metal fabrication. Hands on training in different welding processes including:

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (Mig)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (Tig)
  • Oxy-Acetylene Cutting
  • Plasma Cutting

Included in the course are:

  • Shop math
  • Basic blue print reading
  • Fabrication
  • Certification preparation

It's never too late to become a welder!

Course Requirements

Students will need the following items for a successful experience in class:

  • Welding helmet
  • Safety glasses
  • Long leather welding gloves
  • Welding leathers
  • Leather work boots

There is a $125.00 registration fee for night classes.

There is a $525.00 registration fee for the day class.

There is a $70.00 fee for each welding certification passed.

Class Hours

Night classes are one night a week either Tuesday or Thursday night from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. 

Day classes are five days a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
